With one week of early voting complete, a total of 714 persons have either mailed in their Absentee Ballot by Mail vote or voted in person.  The Aransas County Election Administrator show there are 19,408 register voters in the County on October 20, 2025.  3.7% of registered voter in Aransas County have voted in the Constitutional Amendment election!

In the last Constitutional Amendment election held November 2023, only 16% of the County voted.

Constitutional Amendments cover many issues sent to the voters by the Legislature.  In the current election, there are property tax exemptions, judicial reform, spending requiring no oversight and other topics. 

The Constitutional Amendments are the culmination of the election cycle which started in the March 2024 primaries.  We vote for our Texas House and Senate members, they introduce and pass bills and they ask our opinion, via the ballot box, on some of the bills they have passed.

The most important part of the election

While these amendments are important and need to be voted upon, the most important part of the election is the last item requiring your vote.

Rockport-Fulton ISD and Aransas Pass ISD placed on the ballot school district property tax increases.  These increases cannot be enacted without the taxpayers voting in favor.

I STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU GET OUT AND VOTE NO FOR SCHOOL DISTRICT PROPERTY TAX INCREASES.

Get out and vote.  Get your neighbors, friends, co-workers and anyone else to get out and vote NO on any increase in school district property taxes.

Remember you can take a piece of paper in with you to help you vote.  You could print out a sample ballot (links above), you could print out the blog linked above.  You could also printed out the below table and take it with you.
